Выраженная числом характеристика какого-либо свойства экономического объекта, процесса или решения. П. могут быть директивные (управляющие, плановые и др.) и отчетные (главным образом статистические). С точки зрения управления экономическим процессом показатели первого рода можно разделить на директивно-адресные и директивно-обезличенные. Первые — П., индивидуализированные для каждого хозяйственного объекта (или группы объектов). Вторые — своего рода правила поведения хозяйственных объектов, они касаются всех: это цены, нормативы, условия формирования фондов и др. По экономическому содержанию П. могут быть натуральные, стоимостные (денежные), трудовые. С точки зрения вычислительной, математической: объемные (см. Объемы), средние, предельные и приростные (дифференциальные), индексные (см.Индекс). В теории и практике автоматизированной обработки информации в показателе (его называют также элементарным П.) выявляется следующая структура: количественное значение (основание) и набор его содержательных признаков, называемый идентификатором П. (или его призначной частью). Например, П. «продукция промышленности в 1984 г. (в оптовых ценах предприятий на 1 января 1982 г.) фактически 783 млрд руб.» имеет основанием число 783, а остальное — основные и дополнительные (разъясняющие) признаки, составляющие его идентификатор. При обработке данных с идентификаторами проводят логические операции, с основаниями — арифметические. См. Методология расчета показателей, Статистические ряды
